Students Recognized by Board for National Test

 Ashley Allen and John LaGrone were recognized at the October School Board meeting for being named as Commended Students in the 2004 National Merit Scholarship Program.  Allen and LaGrone, seniors at WHS, are being recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry.  Of the 1 million students who took the qualifying test, the 34,000 Commended Students are eligible to continue in the Merit Scholarship competition.   

Ashley Allen is a member of the Kangaroo Softball team, and the daughter of John and Diane Allen of Weatherford.   

John LaGrone, a member of the Kangaroo Tennis team, is the son of Mark and Charlotte LaGrone of Weatherford.
