Melon Vine Staff Recognized by School Board 

On Thursday, October 13, the WISD Board of Trustees congratulated the 2004-2005 Melon Vine  staff for being chosen as semi-finalist in the Taylor Publishing Yearbook Yearbook competition.  The WHS Melon Vine was chosen out of over 8,000 yearbooks that Taylor produces each year.  Less than 10 percent of the yearbooks are chosen for this prestigious design and theme award.  This is the second year in a row the Melon Vine has been chosen.  The yearbook will now move to a panel of judges from across the nation to determine the winner.    

Congratulations to Leslie Johnston, WHS journalism teacher, and all of the 2004-2005 yearbook staff – Molly Chenault, Amber Montgomery, Alex Applegate, Natalie Wade, Marisa Bernens, Jennifer Coutee, Leonora Orona, Lucas Wiggins.
