Weatherford High School Heeds Caution

A Parker County Sheriff's Office inmate walked off the site of the county barn facility on Bethel Road causing the Sheriff's Department to advise the Weatherford High School administration to lock all the doors shortly after 1:00 P.M. today.  Weatherford Police Department spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Crawford said, "as a precaution, we have advised the high school staff to lock all doors until we have further  information regarding the whereabouts of this individual."  The inmate was assigned to a work crew when the incident occurred.  Within an hour of the decision to lock the doors of the school, information was provided to the high school administrators that it was safe to remove the lock-down order and regular dismissal procedures were followed for the remainder of the day.

More news... according to the Parker County Sheriff's Office, the inmate was arrested in Fort Worth sometime around 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2005.
