Three Lady Roo
Soccer Players Sign Letters of Intent
WEATHERFORD - On
March 8, three WHS Seniors signed letters of intent to play college
soccer.
Jenae Steensma, Dacia Hinkle, and Amy Kuykendall, joined by Coach
Tyler Kernan as well as friends and family, made their declarations
official in the WHS Outback Wednesday morning.
Jenae is the
daughter of Jim and Debbie Steensma, and will attend Cisco Junior
College in the fall. She is also a member of the WHS yearbook and Roo
Crew.
Dacia, daughter
of Cathy Hinkle and member of the National Honor Society, signed with
Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas.
Amy signed with
Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, and is the daughter of Roy and
Karen Kuykendall. She is also a member of the National Honor Society,
the Physics club, and the Roo Crew.
The Lady Roos’
Soccer Team is currently tied with Mansfield for first place in
District 4-5A. The girls are undefeated in district with a record of
8-0-2 and have an overall record of 15-2-3.
Come out and
watch the Lady Roos take the field! There are four regular season
games left, with the last being against Mansfield on March 21. Visit
