WEATHERFORDWeatherford High School graduates, Mika Hukill and Champagne Martin, recently signed a letter of intent officially announcing their plans to play soccer at Cisco Junior College starting next fall.

Hukill, 17, has played on the WHS Varsity Girls Soccer Team for three years.  In 2005 she was All-District Honorable Mention, and in 2006, 2nd Team All-District.  Aside from soccer, Hukill was a 2006 Texas Scholar and 2005 Academic All-District for soccer.  Hukill is the daughter of Mikell and Rayanne Hukill of Weatherford.

Alongside her, Martin, 18, is a two year Varsity Soccer letterman.  This season she was named to the All-District 1st Team as a midfielder.  She is also a member of the WHS National Honor Society, a 2006 Texas Scholar, and Academic All-District for 2005 and 2005.  Martin is the daughter of Rusty Martin and Laura and Scott Shelton of Weatherford.

Hukill and Martin helped lead the Varsity Girls Soccer team to being named Bi-District Champions for the 2005-2006 season.  The team had a total of 19 wins this season, with 11 district wins and 13 shut outs.  They ended with a record of 19-4-3 overall and 11-1-2 in district.

Cisco Junior College is located in Cisco, Texas, between Weatherford and Abilene.  Hukill and Martin will be joining fellow WHS teammate, Jenae Steensma, on the Cisco Girl's Soccer Team in the fall of 2006.
