Player Signs with Midwestern State University
WEATHERFORD – Weatherford
High School senior, Kaitlin
McDaniel, signed a letter of intent on Friday, April 7, officially
announcing her plans to play soccer at Midwestern
State
University starting next year.
McDaniel, 18, has played at WHS on the Varsity Girls Soccer Team for
two years. Serving as goalkeeper, she helped lead the girls’ team to
13 shut-out games in the 2006 season, as well as to the title of
Bi-District Champions.
This year McDaniel has been selected as the District 4-5a Most
Valuable Player for the goalkeeper position.
During the 2004-2005
season, McDaniel was selected to play on the All-District First Team.
She was also chosen for the 2004-2005 Academic All-District Team.
McDaniel is the daughter of John and Beverly McDaniel.
At WHS, she also serves as a guest writer for the school paper, and
was honored as a 2006 Texas Scholar.
Midwestern State University is located in Wichita
Falls, Texas. McDaniel will be joining the Lady Mustang Soccer team
in the fall of 2006.
