WISD to Offer Summer School for
Secondary Students
WISD will offer summer school for secondary students
beginning Wednesday, June 1 through Thursday, June 30 at Weatherford
High School. Students may register at their home WISD campus
during regular school hours until Monday, May 27.
Secondary summer school is for students who did not
meet the 70% passing standard on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and
Skills (TAKS) test, or for students who wish to take the classes
offered for acceleration purposes. For students who did not pass
the TAKS, the following classes will be offered: Algebra I and II AB,
Geometry AB, Biology I AB, English I, II, III, and IV AB.
Government, Economics, Sociology, Health and College Prep will be
offered for acceleration.
Students interested in attending secondary summer
school should request a registration form from their counselor and
return the completed form along with a $40 registration fee.
Tuition for WISD students in $190 per 1/2 credit course and $235 per
1/2 credit course for out-of-district students. If the tuition
is paid in full prior to May 27, the $40 registration fee will be
waived. Late registrations will be accepted only on May 31.
