The Weatherford Independent School District Board of Trustees
approved the appointment of the new Curtis Elementary School
Principal, Racheal Rife. Mrs. Rife replaces David Belding who was
recently named the WISD Director of Assessment and Professional
Development. Mrs. Rife has been serving as the assistant
principal at Crockett Elementary since 2002. A 1990 graduate of
Texas Woman's University in Denton, Mrs. Rife earned her
Bachelor's degree in Education with a Special Education
Certification. She also earned her Master of Education from TWU in
1996. Mrs. Rife began her career in Birdville ISD as a Special
Education teacher before joining WISD at Bill Wright Elementary in
1998 and served as the WISD Summer School Principal for WISD from
2002-2004.
Curtis Elementary, built in 1987, is home to more than 650
students. Named for Mr. Raymond E. Curtis, former WHS principal,
Superintendent of Weatherford ISD schools and former Chamber of
Commerce President, Curtis Elementary has a rich history of parent
involvement and academic achievement. Join us in congratulating
