Each year, the Weatherford
Educational Support Staff Association (WESA) honors an outstanding
administrator and member of the year.
WESA is proud to announce the
2005 Administrator of the Year as Andy Pool and the 2005 WESA Member
of the Year as Eloise O’Donald.
Mr. Pool is the assistant principal
at Juan Seguin Elementary School. He has worked with the WISD
for 7 years and as a total of 15 years in the educational field.
Previously, Mr. Pool was a teacher and assistant principal of the
Santo and Mineral Wells ISD.
Mrs. O’Donald is the secretary for
the director of assessment and staff development. She has worked
for the WISD for a total of 15 years and is a valued part of the
district. Additionally, she has been an active member of WESA
and the Texas Educational Support Staff Association (TESA) for 15
years. Before moving to the curriculum and instruction
department, Mrs. O'Donald worked in the community education office.
When asked by WESA President, Lydia
Simmons, why these two were chosen for these honors she stated, "Both
recipients are extremely deserving of this honor. Mr. Pool is a
man of his word and is always a calming factor. Mrs. O'Donald is
always willing to volunteer on a WESA committee or project and uses
her talent for publishing to serve on the TESA magazine committee."
Both awardees will
be submitted to TESA for another chance to be honored at the state
level during the TESA Summer Work Conference.
Congratulations to both for this
well-deserved recognition!
