| Teacher's Note For my students going to first grade next year, I hope that you have a wonderful summer. Please remember to practice reading every day!!! I am a firm believer in the phrase “practice makes perfect”. Also, continue to work on addition and subtraction this summer. You are going to do great in first grade and I hope you have a lot of fun this summer. For the students coming to Kindergarten next year, I hope that you too are a having a wonderful summer. Have someone read to you everyday! You should be practicing to write your name the “school way” (first letter capitalized and the rest lowercase). You should also be working to learn all of your letters and sounds this summer. We will be striving to be awesome readers next year and if you know the letters and sounds we will be well on our way when you arrive. Have a fun and safe summer and I am excited to meet you in August. |
