In each of these areas there are courses in which students can earn high school and college credit simultaneously. To be eligible for the college credit, which is free of charge, students must complete the following:
These steps must be completed before college credit is awarded. No tuition is charged for college credit earned through the Tech Prep Program. Each student declaring Tech Prep and fulfilling the high school requirements will receive a certificate upon graduation from high school. The certificate will list the courses that articulate high school credit in the specified associate degree plan correlating with the student’s chosen career cluster. In each of the Career Concentrations, you will find a link to "Course Offerings." All CTE courses that will articulate to Weatherford College and/or Texas State Technical College have a single asterisk(*) after the title. Check Weatherford College's website for additional information wctechprep.net Statewide Articulation, SWA There are some CTE courses that Weatherford College, TSTC in Waco and most community colleges in the state of Texas that will transcript as college credit. Interested students should complete a Personal Plan for Progress and the appropriate forms provided by the college. Students may sign-up for Tech Prep with their CTE instructor or CTE Counselor in the Career Center.
