513 Leadership Intern - Business Administrative Career
Preparation I * (BECP1-TP)
Fall or Spring semester: Grade: 12 * Tech Prep College Credit
Prerequisite: Application Required – See the Career Counselor
A one
semester course where students will shadow a company executive of choice.
The class will meet for two periods. Students meet one day in
class and are released four days a week to shadow their desired business
training station. Students must provide their own transportation.
Students may choose the profession they wish to explore, shadow the
business executive and develop the skills needed to enter that business
after graduating from high school/college.

P.E. Credit: This course fulfills 1.0 credit in
P.E. (An additional 0.5 credit of PE-1A Foundations must be taken to
satisfy the PE graduation requirement)
Students must be employed for the full year at approved agribusiness
training stations in the community. This course combines classroom
learning and work-site training in specific agribusiness careers; such as
equine/animal science, horticulture, small animal management, etc.
Students will meet one class period each day and are released for two
periods to work 15 hours a week. Students must furnish their own
transportation.

Preparation – II (AGCPII)
Two
semesters: Grade 12
Pre-requisite: Ag Science Career Prep I
Students must be employed for the full year at approved agribusiness
training stations in the community. This program is part of an integrated
process linking classroom instruction with work-based learning experiences
to develop agricultural and related fields expertise. Students will meet
one class period each day and are released for two periods to work 15
hours a week. Students must furnish their own transportation.

Students must be employed for the full year at approved business marketing
training stations in the community. This program is part of an integrated
process linking classroom instruction with work-based learning experiences
to develop marketing expertise. Marketing related work-based learning
includes a wide range of job opportunities. Classroom studies include
understanding the needs of the customer at the worksite, in areas such as
retail sales, advertising, apparel and accessories, banking and finance,
entrepreneurship, food marketing, general merchandising, management and
human relations.

Prerequisite: Marketing Dynamics Career Prep
Students must be employed for the full year at approved business marketing
training stations in the community. Classroom studies target retail
sales, advertising, apparel and accessories, banking and finance,
entrepreneurship, food marketing, general merchandising, management, human
relations and personal development. Training stations include a multiple
of possibilities such as: checker/cashier, sales representative, manager
trainee, teller, etc.
